Where have they gone ?

Since returning from going AWOL I’ve noticed many familiar names have gone . Was it a coup , cull or civil war .What’s not changed is the fact that I’ve still no chance of catching poster supreme jo Anne

Some have left due to back-stabbing, childish behaviour and discontent amongst certain members.

Jo anne looked to be a very knowledgeable poster, and with a good sense of humour.

Its also a seasonal thing, the days are longer and getting warmer so, the great outdoors has a 'pull' on many, Jo anne also contributes by tempting folks out with news of events and activities .

The fear of being attacked by certain posters with one in particular if you say anything which does not fit into their way of thinking might have something to do with the decline.

The website ringmaster does his best to try create debate, but even he is finding it harder!

Maybe people are just fed up with the general BS they read on a daily basis, the constant moaning and whinging over every subject under the sun, having ignorant and one sided opinions forced on them, the ridicule they receive for asking simple questions, the offensive and sometimes sick jokes and images and desperate attempts to appear funny and humorous that go along with them and the displays of religious / racial hatred that occasionally surfaces.

Have you considered these options Todge or are you just going to continue to blame 1 person?

Many of the problems on here are to do with winding people up, as you admitted to doing so with Stardelta, and that doesn't lead to a harmonious place to be, but you can't throw something out and not expect it to be thrown back.

Stardelta can be a pain sometimes, but he can't physically harm anyone, so if your male pride gets in the way, put him on ignore. Problem solved. He's been helpful to me in the past and I've been grateful and, like it or not, he does make a lot of sense sometimes, especially when racial hatred is displayed on here, and I agree with him because, to discuss such matters is AGAINST THE RULES! Read them.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, that I'm in nobody's clique so:

Whups response to Matthew Syed’s piece in the Sunday Times shows that he hasn’t grasped the message. Matthew is a Labour supporter and once stood as a Labour candidate. The thrust of his article is that the UK is in a poor state of health and radical surgery is needed in the same vein as that provided by Clement Attlee and Mrs. Thatcher. Currently both the Times and Sunday Times are Labour leaning. Instead of posting the nonsensical response it would have been more appropriate to resist the urge to post an ill thought out reply.

He leaves the day to day running of the site to Ron who post's has Admin We have all been a bit lax in our postings and maybe we should try to address this ourselves first before asking Brian/Ron to enforce the rules of the site. if you are not happy with comments hit the yellow triangle and post your objection to admin and it could then be removed or the thread itself could be removed we call it "pickford"

Peterp, I appreciate that admin cant be around all the time, but have you seen the state of the sports section. It's been going on for quite some time, as roylew points out.

I have to put the record staright of which your comment was wrong , I actually enjoyed my tussles with the infamous T.T.S. The facts are that unfortunately the site had become rather too much back -biting and i include myself to some degree ,but i felt that the site lost a bit of direction obviously there is one one who i won't name was on the sport section and transversed over to the "General" page also which prompted me to take a sabbatical ,i occasionally take a peek as to what's going on and at this moment think's still seem the same , so thanks to all whom made some comments and stay safe and have a nice day .......G.B.

I don't normally look at the sports section but "eggbeater" has started over 40 threads since the 5th of MayI blame the other members who take the bait and reply to what ever he is posting. I have not read any of them myself . Every one has their own opinion even on GENERAL and over the time I have been a member (2006) even I have been drawn into an argument or two. Lately I have remembered what I used to say to people arguing in the pub and I was asked my thoughts on the subject. My answer was "If you say so" not agreeing with either party On line now I have a tendency to ignore the question if some one tries to side with them or in my opinion is a loaded question

Peter you took umbridge with me for no reason at all,that is you're perogative but I have never thrown the first insult never! I have only ever responded and will continue to do like you say it's up to folk to ignore if they don't like what I post, as you can see 99% of my posts on general are very civil

Eggbeater you can post what you want and on which ever thread you want . It was pointed out by other members about you spoiling the sports page so just pointing out to other like minded WW members what as been posted about you . Some other posters try to draw me into giving an opinion to comments by the antagonists on WW but mostly I have learned to ignore them but would never put them on ignore then they think they have won ,I just lurk in the background and pounce if I feel like itEvery one is entitled to an opinion rightly or wrongly on WW .
